Whenua Iti - My Outdoor Adventure Recount

On Monday 28th of March Room 15 went to Whenua Iti outdoor pursuits center. We went there to build up our team skills, supporting other and have fun. First we met at school and jumped on a bus. I felt excited because we gonna do some great activities.
Next they showed us the place and the rule that we have to follow while we were there. Then they mixed us team of boys and girls to do the following activities like swing on to the rope, swing on the big seesaw, relays and giant skis.
Later on we eat our lunch on the deck and we talk about what we did before lunch. Some people said it was hard challenging but they don’t give up. Then we went for play.
After lunch we walk to the flying Kiore tower. It was excited. It was tall as a sky tower. I was the last person to go. When it my turn I did back flip .It was fun.
I enjoy the trip and all the activities that we did at Whenua Iti and we came back school by bus.

Last Day of Swimming

Water Fun

The learning results from our swimming trips to the Riverside Pool have been excellent, improved skills and confidence. Wednesday was our last trip and the children displayed their new skills. We had such a fantastic time at the Riverside Pool.

International Space Station

Last Week we had the great privilege to talk to astronauts on the international space station. It was truly memorable. The children sat enthralled to this once in a life time opportunities, as twenty children got to ask the astronauts their own questions.
