The first half was a frantic affair with Victory taking the initiative. Both teams held their structure well and had lots of shots on goal. A very pleasing aspect of the half was Victory's passing and patience in an attacking position. Hira made some good breaks and communicated well.
Here is Biak Tha closely supported by Bawi Cung just moments before she slots the ball in the back of the net.
As the second half started it was obvious that Hira had gone up a gear. There attack converged upon Victory's goal numerous times and were very unlucky not to score. Victory constructed two nice goals in the second half to win the game 7-0. More importantly both teams played competitive soccer with a real respect for fair play. It is great to watch a game in which the referees are hardly needed.
Hira hot on attack.
The Victory Team really enjoyed the experience of travelling to Hira School to play soccer. Many of the players talked positively about the other team and the whole experience on the way back to school. I know that Victory would like to host their new friends in the future and look forward to seeing them at the six-a-side competition.
